The stunning and historic Tuscan Villas on the estates you will be visiting on this private Tuscany wine tour are the homes of two of Italy's most noble and important families.
From the cypress-lined drives, see the majestic, Renaissance styling of the Villas back-dropped by the picturesque Tuscan hillside. See a classical Italian garden and cypress-lined park on the Tuscan Villa estate, which imbue the property with an elegance that exalts its Tuscan countryside surrounds.
The first Tuscany Villa estate, situated within the Chianti wine zone, features a vineyard adorned by near 50 hectares of vines, the grapes from which are skillfully turned into award-wining Chianti Classico wines. Here you will see where the estate traditionally stored the olive oil in the 'Orciaia', which is one of the most historic in the world. Olive trees bear fruit in the on-site olive grove, covering some 80 hectares, before being hand-collected and then cold-pressed into Tuscany's famous 'liquid gold', extra virgin olive oil. Whilst visiting this Tuscan Villa estate, you will be invited to tour the winery with the estate's own wine expert, before having a wine tasting of 3 estate wines including a Chianti Classico wine tasting, as well as tasting 2 extra-virgin olive oil varieties accompanied by traditional Tuscan bread and cheese, to allow you to truly savour the traditional tastes of Tuscany.
The second Tuscany Villa estate has been owned by the same nobile Tuscan family since the mid-1500s. Comprising over 200 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, pastures and woodland, the estate has been producing top-quality wines (including one Vin Santo dessert wine that is perfectly paired with dried fruits), as well as extra virgin olive oil made here for hundreds of years. These traditional tastes of Tuscany are internationally recognised for their greatness, as you will discover during your private guided wine tasting at this Tuscan Villa estate!

My boyfriend and I took the original Florence walking tour, and I have to say it was the best tour of our week stay in Italy. This tour was fantastic because we had Brenda as our tour guide. When someone loves their job so much it really shines through their work and made us enjoy so much more than what there was to see and know about Florence. Brenda was very knowledgeable, funny and well spoken. We also enjoyed her running commentaries on the various happenings around the streets such as watching a woman parking her Vespa on the street or a van moving in a tight space. Very enjoyable and thank you Brenda for a great time!

I took two tours with Art Viva, and multiple tours with Aventurra Bellisima. Art Viva outperforms hands down. Their tour guides (Elizabeta and Klaus) were fantastic-- knowledgable, engaging, entertaining, and particularly Klaus on art-- he is a superstar art and history teacher. Also, the tour sizes were small <8. (Regrettably only one of Aventurra guides spoke English with sufficient facility to make the tour comprehensible and tour sizes were large 10-20). If I could do it again, I would have chosen Art Viva for all the tours.
