Civil Ceremonies in Florence are held in the City Hall of Florence, which is the Palazzo Vecchio (1322) located in one of the Main squares, Piazza Signoria. The Ceremony is held in the Sala Rossa, decorated in a rich Renaissance style. Ceremonies may also be held in the city halls of other Tuscan towns. A translator will be provided.

For A Religious Catholic Wedding Ceremony in Florence Tuscany Italy: 1) You will need the same documents required for the civil ceremony to give to the priest where the ceremony will be performed in order to register the marriage with the city hall.
2) Contact your local priest who will begin preparations for your marriage and will arrange for your Pre-marriage Course and document and your Free - to - Marriage Document (Bans of Marriage) which usually consists of a questionnaire which witnesses sign as well.
3) You will need your Baptismal and Confirmation Certificates.
4) Revision of the above documents, signed and stamped by the diocese or bishop in a form or letter, giving permission for the marriage to take place in Italy and outside of your parish church. ...
