Visit the beautiful and lesser known churches of Rome, along with the underground tunnels in which the faithful were buried!

As the official home of the Catholic Church for over 2,000 years, it’s no wonder Rome boasts some of the most beautiful churches in the world. St. Mary Major, dedicated to the Holy Mother, will astonish you with its mosaics as will the first Papal Residence, St. John’s, which boasts an art collection that spans the ages from the Renaissance to the Baroque. We’ll then head down the Appian Way by bus to visit the catacombs, underground burial places of the ancient Christians and Jews. The tour ends with a very special panoramic view of the Baths of Caracalla.
