The travel time between the Livorno Harbor and the city of Florence is roughly 1 hour and 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic, for a total of about 3 hours round trip travel time.  When planning your day in Florence, please keep that in mind as it will help you to understand just how much time you’ll actually have to spend in the city.

The Original Florence Walk is a 3 hour tour which covers the historical center of Florence.  The walk focuses on the area north of the river and west of the church Santa Croce.  It includes the Duomo, Santa Trinità and Orsanmichele (we enter 2 churches - the rest of the walk is outdoors), the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Della Signoria, Piazza Strozzi, Vasari corridor, the Bell Tower, the Baptistry, the Palazzo Vecchio and many other medieval towers and renaissance palaces along the way.  It starts at the Piazza Della Repubblica and finishes inside the Duomo.  It is a historical tour, but we do discuss art (many statues are outdoors here) and tell many little stories and anecdotes that are not usually in the history books...this tour is entertaining and suits all levels and ages.

Private Original Florence Walk & Accademia  - 3 hrs

2 ½ hr City Walk (same as above) plus ½ visit to the Accademia Museum to see the Michelangelo’s “David”; Same as above plus museum tickets and reservation fee for you and your guide (12.50 per person)

Florence For Kids! – 3 hrs

This light entertaining tour is a great introduction to Florence for kids. We look at Florence from a 'young perspective', starting with a special children's museum in the Palazzo Vecchio, finding where the opening of secret passages used to be, and where the children of the Medici (the rulers of Florence) used to play, before heading off to see a roaring lion, then making a wish while patting a bronze wild boar, before savouring a delicious gelato. We visit the following places: Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Straw Market

Children under six are free. This tour can be done with a maximum of six in your party and a minimum of two. Children must be accompanied buy an adult. There is pram access.
