The lovely Villa Castelvecchio has an ideal location in the green, lush area of southern Tuscany. Off-the-beaten-track of mass tourism, this area and the Villa Castelvecchio have a lot to offer. Besides having lovely accommodations of various sizes, they also have the great fortune of hosting an excellent cooking school, with the option of 4-day or 7-day classes combined with interesting excursions to famous Tuscan hilltowns and villages.
Facilities Villa Castelvecchio Tuscany Italy
This country complex can accommodate up to 16 people. There are three houses, The Villa which can host up to 8 people, The Torretta which sleeps 4, and The Limonaia which sleeps up to 4 people. The whole is surrounded by a large park where there is a swimming pool. They have their own olive groves, vegetable garden, chickens and lots of fruit trees. The owners of the villa are happy to share their produce with their guests and they also have their own wine and oil for sale. All the kitchens are fully-equipped and there is plenty of room for outdoor eating. The Villa has a dishwasher. A wood-burning pizza oven is available in the common area outside. There is a washing machine for all to use. The complex is completely enclosed and has a small playground for children who must be at least 10 years old in order to stay here.

The villa is situated on a hillside which affords it a wonderful 360° view of a typical Tuscan landscape. It is quite near the town of Sinalunga where mass tourism is relatively unknown. This is a magnificent part of Tuscany - many interesting and important towns are fairly nearby - Siena, Arezzo, Perugia, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Florence. This area is also close to several thermal baths such as S. Albino, Chianciano Terme, Rapolano Terme and Bagno Vignoni. The town of Sinalunga has many fine restaurants and shops, they also have a supermarket, cinema, post office. Horseback riding is nearby, as are bike and car rentals.

Siena and Montepulciano are about 30 km. away, Cortona is 20 km. away. The beautiful lake of Trasimeno is only 30 minutes from Sinalunga. The major A1 highway is 8 km. from here and Florence to the north and Rome to the south are easily accessible. There are many small villages and towns to visit in the area of Sinalunga. This is also a lovely area for walks.

What time is check-in and check-out?
You must arrive between 4pm and 7pm. Check-out is before 1pm. Alternative arrangements can be made in advance.

Breakfast and all other meals are included in the "cooking course" programs.
Can we stay here even if we are not participating in the cooking courses?

Transfers are included in the "cooking course" packages. These include transfers to and from the Chiusi Chianciano Terme train station.
