The Original & Best Tours

My Exclusive Full Day Wine Tour in Tuscany with wine tasting

from € 550.00

Join us for a unique wine tour, Tuscany's best.
A full day immersion into the very essence of Tuscany.
Visit vineyards and wineries in the stunningly beautiful and world famous Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, make exclusive visits to the private noble estate of a Tuscan Princess, taste and enjoy hearing about wine making in Tuscany.

The day begins with a visit to the vineyard in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, normally closed to the public, where you'll walk the vineyards and learn the secrets of planting, maintaining and harvesting the grapes in Tuscany.

Then it's off to the cellars to learn how grapes become wine.
The morning ends with a very special tasting direct from the barique aging barrel, followed by one last sampling of the final bottled product.
Our morning at the vineyard is followed by a visit to the beautiful medieval hamlet of Montefioralle.
After a break for lunch, we'll head to a 17th century villa, for a warm welcome to the home of an Italian Princess, where you'll enjoy a guided tasting of 3 of the wines that are produced on the estate.
On a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside your guide will point out some of the area's most important vineyards before a brief stop in the town of Greve in Chianti, where you can buy colourful traditional Tuscan ceramics souvenirs and sample the best salami and prosciutto in Tuscany before heading back to Florence.

Highlights: Visit to a wine producing estate with our expert who will guide you through the magic of winemaking - from planting the grapes to uncorking the bottle
Wine tastings and winery visits with an expert winemaker guide.
Visit to the town of Greve-in-Chianti

We can also organise full day visits to estates with lunch in the four major wine producing areas. Tours can include two or three estate visits and lunch in an enoteca, trattoria or restaurant.

  • Chianti Classico, starting from either Florence or Siena, we visit famous wine making estates such as Fontodi in Panzano, Antinori Tignanello and Isole e Olena . Lunch is possible al fresco in a typical Tuscany restaurant among vineyard-covered hills. Return to Florence or Siena in late afternoon/early evening.
  • Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, starting from Florence or Siena. we visit famous wine making estates such as Poliziano, Avignonesi Le Capezzine, with lunch on the estate (excellent food). Third estates possibly Boscarelli or the Antinori or Folonari estates. On this tour, you might want to set aside an hour or so at some point for a walking tour of Montepulciano.
  • Brunello di Montalcino, starting from Siena. We visit the famous estates such as Biondi Santi , Banfi, with lunch in the trattoria. Third estate, Castelgiocondo of Frescobaldi or other. A walking tour of Montalcino at some point is suggested. An alternative place for lunch is the Osteria Osticcio in Montalcino, where old vintages can be tasted.
  • Bolgheri, starting from Florence (more than 2 hours by bus) or Pisa (one hour +). Visting famous estaes such as Sassicaia. and Ornellaia. Lunch at an Osteria-wine bar in Bolgheri. Third estate Le Macchiole or Camarcanda (Gaja).

Includes: Your own private guide, private transportation, winery visits.

Does not include: Cost of lunch in a typical Chianti restaurant. Some tastings at some of the wineries may be at an additional cost on the day of the tour, depending on which wineries you visit.

I took the Florence tour of Florence Artisans. It was amazing. It was the best tour !!!! Our Guide, Helen was fantastic. She took us to places we'd NEVER have been able to find on our own. She was friendly and very informative. In fact, local people were greeting us with such a warm reception which I can only attribute to the fact that she is a well known and liked friend to the city.

I took two tours with Art Viva, and multiple tours with Aventurra Bellisima. Art Viva outperforms hands down. Their tour guides (Elizabeta and Klaus) were fantastic-- knowledgable, engaging, entertaining, and particularly Klaus on art-- he is a superstar art and history teacher. Also, the tour sizes were small <8. (Regrettably only one of Aventurra guides spoke English with sufficient facility to make the tour comprehensible and tour sizes were large 10-20). If I could do it again, I would have chosen Art Viva for all the tours.

Fantastic

We recently did 3 tours in Florence with Artviva and these were the most informative tours I have been on. In addition to the excellent information, you could tell that the guides LOVED their job. It was a pleasure to be on tours that were so interesting and with such enthusiastic and pleasant guides. I recommend this to anyone wanting to really learn about Florence , its art and its history and meaning.
